Cookie Policy

The AKS Travel website sets no cookies. This policy says what it stores on your device instead, why, and how to remove it.

Last updated 25 August 2026

This website is operated by AKS Travel. This website sets no cookies at all. It keeps two values in your browser's local storage — your theme choice and your answer to the cookie notice — and nothing else. This policy explains both, and how to remove them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information generally.

What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return, the browser sends it back, which lets the site recognise the same visit or the same device.

Cookies cannot read other files on your device or run programs. What they can do is hold a small piece of information — a session identifier, a preference, an analytics identifier — that a site uses to work properly or to measure how it is used.

This Website Sets No Cookies

That is the whole of it: this website does not set a single cookie. Not an essential one, not a preference one, not an analytics one. The sections below describe what it stores instead, because two small values are kept on your device and you are entitled to know what they are.

This is a description of what the site actually does today, checked against the code rather than assumed. If that changes, this policy changes with it.

The Two Values We Store On Your Device

Both are held in your browser's local storage, which works like a cookie but is never attached to a request. Neither is sent to our server, neither reaches anyone else, and neither contains anything that identifies you.

  • Your theme choice — whether you asked for the light or dark appearance, so the site looks the same when you come back.
  • Your answer to the cookie notice — whether you accepted or declined, so you are not asked the same question on every page.

Analytics

There is no analytics on this website. No measurement service, no visitor counter, no advertising or conversion tag, no fingerprinting. We do not know which pages you looked at.

If analytics is ever added, it will be gated behind the notice you have already answered: nothing non-essential may run until consent has been given, and no answer means no. "Decline" is therefore a real answer rather than a formality, and this policy will be updated before anything is switched on.

Third-Party Content

The website loads no third-party scripts. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no social widget, and no embedded map on the contact page — a styled address panel is used instead, precisely so that no external service is contacted on your behalf.

Fonts and styling are served from this website. If a payment provider's own page is used in the future, that page is on the provider's own domain and under the provider's own policy, and we will say so here.

Pixels and Email Tracking

We use no tracking pixels, web beacons or clear GIFs, on the website or in our email. The messages we send you — an enquiry acknowledgement, a booking reference — contain no image that reports back when a message is opened. We do not know whether you opened them.

How Long It Lasts

Local storage has no expiry date: the two values stay until you remove them, or until the browser removes them because you asked it to clear site data.

Clearing them is not a request you have to make to us. It is entirely under your control, in your own browser.

Removing What Is Stored

Every major browser lets you see and delete what a site has stored, under settings, usually within a privacy or site-data section. Clearing site data for this website removes both values.

A private or incognito window discards them when the window closes, and blocking storage for this site stops them being written at all.

If You Clear or Block It

Nothing breaks. Every page, the search panels, the forms and the booking flow work exactly the same with no stored values at all — there is no session to lose, because the site keeps none.

The only difference you will notice is that the site reverts to its default appearance and the cookie notice asks you again, because the record of your answer is the thing you just removed.

Storage and Personal Information

An identifier stored on a device can count as personal information under the law that applies to you, because it can be linked to that device over time. Neither of the two values here is an identifier: one records a colour scheme, the other records a yes or a no.

Nothing stored by this website can be linked back to you, and none of it leaves your browser. The commitments in our Privacy Policy still apply to the information you give us directly — your name, email, phone number and the details of an enquiry.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy when we add or remove a service that sets cookies, or when the law changes. The revision date on this page shows when it was last changed.

If we introduce a category of cookie that is materially different from those described here, we will update this page before or at the time we start using it.
