Changes and Rebooking Policy

A change is priced in up to three parts and submitted only after you accept that price. Nothing on your booking moves before then.

The bookings this covers

This page is for tickets bought through the AKS Textiles travel desk. A ticket from another seller has to be changed by that airline or that agency.

What a fare allows

Depending on the fare, a date, a time, a route or a cabin may be changeable. The most restricted fares allow nothing once the airline's grace period has passed. Substituting one traveler for another is a different matter and is generally not permitted; for a spelling error see name corrections.

The three parts of the price

  1. Fare difference. What the replacement flight costs now, measured against what you originally paid, as the airline prices it.
  2. Airline change charge. The charge written into your fare rules, if there is one. Many fares no longer carry any.
  3. Our charge. What this desk asks for doing the work, on a line of its own.

Where the replacement fare is lower, whether the difference returns to you, and whether as money or as credit, is settled by the airline's rules rather than by us.

Nothing moves without your approval

Your booking stands untouched until you accept the quote in writing and pay what is due. The fare difference is not frozen while you consider it, and it can move until the airline processes the change.

When the change comes from the airline

An airline that changes or cancels your flight may offer another at no charge. Where the change is significant and you decline that alternative, federal rules generally entitle you to a refund instead. What the airline has offered is passed to you, and whichever option you choose is carried out. Any charge of ours for that work appears on a quote first.

Leaving enough time

Airlines restrict changes close to departure. Write in as early as you can, and treat a change as made only when the updated itinerary arrives from this desk.
