Flight Booking Policy

An agent books the flight. You get an itemized total, approve it, pay it, and receive the ticket once the airline issues it.

Sending a request

Use a form on this site, write to contact@akstextiles.com, or ask an agent to call you. An agent then searches the reservation systems this desk works with and replies with options. A request on its own reserves no seat and freezes no price.

Why the prices on screen are samples

Online booking is unfinished. Until it is done, a search on akstextiles.com returns invented example fares that demonstrate the layout of a result. They say nothing about what is on sale. The site charges no cards and issues no tickets.

What a quote contains

  • Flight numbers, departure and arrival times, connections and the cabin.
  • What the fare permits on a change, a cancellation and a refund, in plain terms.
  • Whether the federal 24-hour cancellation window applies to the booking.
  • The baggage included, with a link to the airline's own baggage charges.
  • One total in USD, itemized as airline fare, taxes and government charges, and our service fee.
  • An honest estimate of how long the quote is likely to stand.

If the fare moves before ticketing

Airline prices move constantly and only ticketing settles one. Should the fare change after your approval but before the ticket is issued, the new total is sent to you and the booking waits for a second approval.

Traveler details

Every name has to match the passport or government-issued ID the traveler will present, because the airline passes it to the Transportation Security Administration's Secure Flight program. Names, dates of birth and, on international trips, passport numbers are read back to you before the booking goes in. Where an error is already on a ticket, see name corrections.

Confirmation

When the airline issues the ticket, the confirmation code, the ticket number and the itinerary are sent to you. Read them on arrival and report anything that does not match what you approved.

Travel documents

Holding a valid ID, passport, visa or other required paper is the traveler's own responsibility. An agent may say what a route is likely to need, but the U.S. Department of State and the authorities at your destination have the last word.
