Terms and Conditions

The terms covering this website and the travel desk behind it: how a quote becomes a booking, what each side owes the other, and where our work stops.

Who is bound by this page

Reading akstextiles.com, or sending AKS Textiles a request to book or manage a flight, means accepting the terms on this page. AKS Textiles trades as AKS Textiles and is called "we" and "us" here. The other policies linked from this site cover particular subjects and form part of these terms.

What this desk is

AKS Textiles is a textile name. The travel desk at akstextiles.com is that company's agency for arranging air travel, and it is an independent travel agency. It is not an airline. It operates no aircraft. It holds no affiliation with, and no endorsement from, any airline or government agency. The Airline Relationship Disclosure sets this out in full.

The site as it stands today

Online booking at akstextiles.com is still being built. Any price the search returns is a sample produced for demonstration and is not an offer capable of acceptance. The site issues no tickets and takes no payments. Every booking is made by an agent, who confirms the live fare with you before a cent is collected.

From request to ticket

You describe the trip. We reply with a written quote: the flights, the main fare conditions, and one total covering airline fare, taxes, government charges and our service fee. No seat is booked until that quote has been accepted and the payment has reached us. The contract to carry you is between you and the airline, on the airline's conditions of carriage; the Booking and Ticketing Terms go further into this.

What we ask of you

  • Give each traveler's name exactly as the ID they will fly with prints it, and contact details that work.
  • Read each quote and itinerary when it arrives, and report an error at once.
  • Hold the passports, visas and other documents your route requires.
  • Keep to the airline's rules on check-in, baggage and boarding.
  • Use this site lawfully and within the Website Usage Policy.

Price, fees and payment

U.S. Department of Transportation rules on full-fare advertising require every mandatory tax and fee, our service fee included, to be inside the price shown. Our totals are built to that rule. Optional airline extras, such as a bag or a seat, are priced separately. The Service Fee Policy and the Payment Policy hold the detail.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

When you choose to change or cancel, the airline's fare rules decide what is possible and what it costs. On a ticket bought at least seven days before departure, federal rules require the airline to allow cancellation within 24 hours of booking at no penalty. Where federal rules require a refund — after an airline cancellation or a significant schedule change, for instance — you get the refund. We act only on a quote you have approved. The Changes and Rebooking Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy carry the whole picture.

Where our responsibility ends

Our work is to set the booking up accurately and to carry out the instructions you approve. The flight is the airline's work. A delay, a cancellation, a schedule change, denied boarding or a mishandled bag falls under the airline's conditions of carriage and the law applying to that carrier. Nothing on this page removes a right that federal or state consumer protection law says cannot be waived.

Complaints and governing law

Start a complaint through the Complaints Handling Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware together with applicable U.S. federal law, and a dispute is heard in the state or federal courts sitting in Delaware. This does not disturb any consumer right you hold under the law of the state where you live.

Changes to these terms

These terms are revised from time to time. The version live on the day you approved your quote is the version that governs your booking.
