Data Protection / Data Rights Request

Use the form on this page to make a request about your personal information. Identity is confirmed before anything is acted on, and nothing is sold.

Draft for legal review. This document has not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal professional.

What can be asked for

Depending on where you live, and in particular under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you can ask this desk to:

  • Tell you what personal information has been collected about you, where it came from, why it is used and who it reaches, and to give you a copy.
  • Delete personal information held about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
  • Correct personal information that is wrong.
  • Stop any sale or sharing. Personal information is not sold. Advertising cookies, which some state laws treat as sharing, run only once switched on, and can be switched off on the Cookie Preferences page or by asking here.

Using any of these rights will not cost you service, a different price, or a lesser standard of help.

Confirming it is you

Before a request is acted on, we confirm it came from you, usually by replying to the email address or telephone number recorded on your booking. Do not send identity documents unprompted. Where one is needed, you will be told how to send it safely. Somebody else may make the request as your authorized agent, provided they can show you gave them that authority.

What happens then

The request is acknowledged and answered within the period the applicable law allows. Some records have to be kept for legal, tax or accounting reasons, or because an airline booking is still live; where that applies, the reason is explained rather than glossed over. Questions go to contact@akstextiles.com.
